★ Our story
The Spud Shack story actually started back in 2019, when my mum converted a horsebox into a spud kitchen. It was meant to be her little part-time dream — but sadly, due to circumstances beyond her control, she had to sell it before it was even finished.
Fast forward to 2024, and heartbreakingly, my mum passed away unexpectedly at just 43.
Not long after, I came across an advert for a converted horsebox… and something felt familiar. The handwriting on the chalkboard, the spud oven — it was hers. The very same horsebox she had started years before. In that moment, I just knew. This was meant to be.
After some really kind conversations with the seller, I was able to buy it back — and that's how The Spud Shack truly began.
I'm 23, and together with my fiancé we've poured everything into turning this tiny horsebox into something really special. Alongside raising our two toddlers, this little business has become our life.
It might just look like a small horsebox to most people… but to us, it’s everything — our past, and our future. 🤍
Thank you for being part of our story — and for letting us keep a piece of mum's legacy alive, every single day.
With love,
The Spud Shack
